In celebration of the November 6, 2015 release of The Peanuts Movie & St. Paul’s beloved “son” Charles M. Schulz, Saint Paul Mayor Chris Coleman will proclaim October 20, 2015 “Charles M. Schulz Day” and present Charles’ son Craig Schulz (writer/producer of THE PEANUTS MOVIE) with the proclamation.
Craig Schulz will be joined by Director Steve Martino, Snoopy and THE PEANUTS MOVIE cast including Francesca Capaldi (voice of Little Red Haired Girl), Noah Schapp (voice of Charlie Brown), Mar Mar (voice of Franklin) & Hadley Belle Miller (voice of Lucy) for the special ceremony!
Charles Schulz died in 2000 and for five years following his death, local artists honored him with peanuts statues all over the cities. It could be fun to have an MEA weekend scavenger hunt for Peanuts statues to prepare your kids for this event. The City of St. Paul offers a map of all public art – including Peanuts statutes.
If your kids are a little young to know who all the Peanuts characters are, Peanuts.Com can help you introduce them to the characters. Maybe it will become a family favorite.
